Supposedly taken from Mark Twain's estate as a trade off for gold coins....whether this is true or not I am unsure. Passed down from Grandparents.

Long Description and Pictures (jpg, gif, png)

Mostly covered with elaborate hand carvings, covered in thick layer of 14Kt Gold, bezel set into top of pencil is a cabochon piece of black jade measuring approx. 8.20 MM in diameter. The numbers 585 are engraved onto pencil clip. What this means I do not know. I have more pictures available if need be. Any information about this piece would be much appreciated.
