the teachers who persuaded his family to send the young man
to the Viennese Academy of Fine Arts,
where he studied under Prof. Rudolph.

Later on he became member of the Viennese Artiste Society
and took part in the artists exhibition where he could achive
very good critique.

The artist broadened his artistic education by numerous studying
trips, which brought him to art-centers
such as Munich, Paris and Florence,

Please, i need to identify the artist signature, age and price of this wine cistern.

I am looking to find out anything I can about this item.  History, value (if any) ect...

I bought this at an exclusive estate sale. It had belonged to the woman's mother who passed away several years ago at age 100 and it had been handed down to her mother when her mother was young.

I listed it in excellent condition, which it is, except for one place on top of the handle where there had been a cherub that had gotten broken off leaving only it's tiny legs. I do not have the missing piece. But other then that, this vase is in excellent condition with no cracks or chips and the paint and glaze are excellent.

On the handle is a half man half horse or something, and on the other side, under the very beautifully shaped spout, is a cherub riding a horse that is half horse, half mermaid or sea creature, as it's hind end spilts on each side into the fish-like tail.

The middle is covered with cherubs with dolphin type fish, while below that are 3 naked half woman half mermaid type figures that have their arms intertwined as if they were holding up the vase.

The details on this are just amazing escpecially on the little faces. They are so detailed that they almost look real.

On the bottom is the Meissen blue crossed swords and by one of the sword's handles is a blue letter or something that looks like an M.

I have searched for a Meissen like this, and I found one similar, but it was no as elaborate as this one, but the cherubs were identical in their faces and hair styles, and in an Antiques Roadshow Book, it said that in the late 19th century, Meissen and others, had hair in "wavy-low-brow" style, which I believe is what these cherubs have.

So with all that, the crossed blue swords, the identical cherubs on a Roadshow Meissen, and the woman who's mother this belonged to told me it was Meissen, i truly believe it is a Meissen. But I am far from an expert and I would greatly appreciate any information on it.

I am trying to determine the name of the artist. It is written lightly in pencil and looks like letters that spell "Muric". Any help would be welcome, thanks for looking. I had to attach a pdf because the photo wouldn't upload.

I bought this painting about a year ago and was wondering if anyone has any information about it. I think most of Hargrove's works are titled but can't seem to find any info on this one.

There is a sticker on the back that says Artistic Impressions Inc. 1988377 Certified.

A Dream of the Future by W.P. Frith and engraved by J.J. Chant

I don't know anything about it but I want to know where it came from and what the History is behing it.

My father passed away last month and I was given several art peices. I have 4 of these that appear to be a series called. Les accidente de la chase. They all appear to be drawings of horse accidents. I found the name of the artist and it appear that he is french.

He had gotten these from his adoptive mother who lived in Oklahoma and San Franciso. Her husband traveled alot from what we had heard through the years. We did not know them as they passed away earlier. We do not have any or much family history since it was an adoption and they did not have any other children or relatives that we knew.

Oriental young lady, seated on carpet, mostly in muted greys and and blacks background. Lady is seated in left profile with left leg tucked under her right slightly elevated leg. Right let is out in front of subject, Right arm it crossed to hold her left knee, left arm is supporting slightly to her rear. Torso is turned 3/4 to artist, straight long black hair. Painting is in good condition, no cracking of the paint, been in dark hallways.

Purchased in 1967 of a reprint of La Gioconda Leonardo Da Vinci (1452-1519)

The painting is a large sofa size painting that my mother acquired in the 1960's.  It has a plate on the front of the frame that says, "J. H. Duflot, 1956".  My mother said that the J stood for Jacques.  It has the original frame on the painting.

This painting came in a group of high end 1950's paintings. I cannot figure out the name. I think the style and the fact that it has a Knoedler Gallery label on the reverse, means that it could be a listed artist. I tried Knoedler, but they could not find the record from that time frame, even though they did spend some time trying. I am desperate to figure out the artists name...does anyone reconize either the name, or the style? Can anyone help?

This is a beautiful plate that is handpainte and been in my family forever. It has a plate number on the back with an original zhuanshu seal. Made during the Qianlond Dynasty in China. Theres also a C P C (communist party of china) Made in Macau sticker. there is also a sticker that states "for decorative purposes only not for food use." the plate is ov a flowre design and has a 2 vases and a table on the plate. there is also a small fret god. 

this item in mot sure if it was a jewery box it has four looking animal feet as stands it has a lid that is attached and opens from one side. theres a stamp on it three leaf pland, a crown, a standing lion. top of lid two standing lions with some kind of family crest in middle with top of crest hand honing a axe. on the back of on side a oval shape piece missing and where the lid hindges r it say 186

This print is longer  than the phot is showing

We suspect the value is $5,000.
