Submitted by Joseph on Fri, 10/12/2007 - 10:06.

Are you using a Macintosh or a PC? We have complete directions on the home page of Instappraisal. It's best to keep the maximum size to around 600x600 - that way your photo will fit nicely on the page. When you say "all you get is a small icon in the upper-righthand corner," what do you mean exactly? Are you clicking on the little "tree" icon then that's all you get? If you get a dialog after you click the little "tree" icon with a small icon then this is the icon you should then click on to navigate to where your photos are located on your hard disk. After that simply follow the direction on our home page. In a nutshell to upload photos you need to do the following:

Here are the steps:

You will add your images directly into the "Long Description and Pictures" section of your appraisal request form:

1) In this area you'll see a little icon titled "Insert/edit image" Insert/edit image Click this icon and the following will appear.

2) Click the little icon avove and you'll then see a window like this appear:

Click on the "Browse" button and navigate to where your file is located on your computer.
Then click on the "Upload File" button. Your file will then be uploaded.

3) Click on the "add" next to where your image uploaded

4) Then click on the "Insert" button and your photo will be added.

Repeat this process for any other photos you wish to upload.
This sounds complicated, but it's actually very simple to do.

Submitted by lhatcher11 on Wed, 10/24/2007 - 23:08.

Hi Joseph!

I too am having trouble up-loading my images for appraisal. I am using a PC, I make it all the way to "Upload File", then I receive a "Server Error" message. I have been trying on and off for several weeks, thinking I might hit it at the right time; wrong!

Is there a setting somewhere in my Properties that needs to be changed? Have you heard of anyone else receiving "Error" messages?

Thank You!

Submitted by wrightian on Mon, 10/29/2007 - 13:00.

When I attempt to upload, the small box for the file view disappears after a few seconds of uploading and is replace by an Internet Explorer error page. I am using a PC as well. I would like to upload some pictures, but it will not complete the process.

Any suggestions?

Hello Wrightian, How large

Hello Wrightian,

How large are the files that you are uploading?  Can you try to upload a smaller sized file and see if that helps?

KellyJo,

How large are the files that you are uploading?  Try to keep the size to aroudn 600x600 pixels and save "for the web" so that the file size is not too large.  That should take care of your uploading issues.  If not then please let me know.
